"Anonymous: Jesus’ Hidden Years…and Yours" by Dr. Alicia Britt Chole has been skillfully written to take us on an eye-opening and liberating journey of being hidden in God. While reading her book, I simultaneously listened to the Audible version. (I’m SO GLAD she was the Narrator! Outstanding job!) I also viewed the 12-part "Anonymous" video series on the Alicia Britt Chole YouTube Channel. WHY did I go to this extent? Because I found, right from the start, that "Anonymous" was WELL WORTH the "Soaking" time!One of the many things that stood out to me within her book is that the Lord NEVER wastes any of our time - even if we may feel we're "on pause" from fulfilling our dreams. He, in actuality, is lovingly protecting us and growing us - as we look to Him, trust Him, and rest in Him. There's ALWAYS a greater purpose in any waiting!In fact, this book has reminded me, once again, that being hidden away in Christ is not just about getting through a challenging season. But, even more so, it’s about cultivating a "moment-by-moment hiddenness mindset" - where we humbly and gratefully position our hearts and incline our ears to follow His will and Word always. This is a beautiful expression of our love and worship for Jesus!After being formally trained in ministry and involved in ministry for many years, there’s no doubt in my mind that Dr. Alicia Britt Chole has been "Set Apart" to help people see God’s love and purposes for their lives. Possibly the most impactful reading (outside of scripture) I’ve ever experienced

I wasn’t sure whether I’m in a season of anonymity or not, but a good friend suggested we read this book in our book club. My realization after diving into it is that this book is for every season, for everyone. It’s incredibly profound and impactful. I found myself highlighting and underlining almost every sentence until I got to the point where I thought “Okay, I can’t highlight EVERYTHING!” The insights Alicia shares are concise, yet poetically unpacked without being repetitive. There’s no fluff, just beautifully laid out wisdom.
